Use the following instruction to manage and install add-ins. To install a new add-in: Select File > Get Add-ins. Alternatively, in Word, Excel and PowerPoint you can view your add-ins by selecting Home > Add-ins.

Symptoms. In an Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS) environment, you cannot use a Group Policy Object (GPO) to deploy applications for installation on client computers that are running Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2. When you try to apply the GPO, you receive an error message that resembles the following:

Step 1. Download the offline installer from your account portal. To download the offline installer, go to www.office.com. If you're not already signed in with the Microsoft account associated with your copy of Microsoft 365 or Microsoft 365 do that now.

Some Office 2019, Office 2016, and Office 2013 products come with a product key. If yours did, before installing Microsoft 365 for the first time, sign in with an existing or new Microsoft account and enter your product key at office.com/setup .

To resolve this error, install or repair only one version at a time and ensure the products you're installing can be installed side-by-side. For example, Microsoft 365 isn't compatible with volume license versions of Office Professional Plus 2019 so you won't be able to install these together.

Before you begin, make sure your PC or Mac meets the system requirements. If you already redeemed a product key, you're simply reinstalling the apps, or you know you have an assigned license through work or school, you can skip ahead and go to the section sign in to download and install Microsoft 365 or Office.

Note: The Add from URL option is no longer available to install a custom Outlook add-in. As a workaround, open the URL in your preferred browser to download the manifest file of the add-in, then use the Add from File option to install it.

If you haven't installed Office on another computer yet, follow the instructions in Install Office on your PC or Mac. Follow the steps in Activate by telephone, described above. Uninstall Office from the original computer. Read the Software License Terms to review terms on transferring Office. Open an Office application, such as Word.
